So, I ordered a pair of gorgeous Chinese Laundry tall gray suede boots. Even ordered a size too big because I wanted them so badly. And then today, I get an email telling me that the boots are out of stock.
Oh! Thwarted Again!
Now, I need to find another equally enviable pair of boots in a price range that I can afford. And I’m quickly finding out that this will be no easy task. To the Internets and Beyond!
Bloomingdale’s, nothing. Piperlime, no sizes. Macy’s, no colors and no sizes. Endless has some choices, but nothing that makes my wallet tingle. And even my beloved Nordstrom has let me down.
I have, of course, tried eBay only too discover poorly crafted boots made by children in foreign countries. Clearly, a no go.
So, I am asking my loyal readership to help a fashionista out! I’m looking for flat or wedge, knee high, grey suede boots in a size 8.5 or 9. If you see a pair in a store, find a pair on the net, or hear even a rumor that Chinese Laundry is restocking; then I want to know about it. You can find me in the comments, or at capitolhillstyle@gmail.com.
Happy Hunting!

Did you try ordering directly through chineselaundry.com ?? I’ve ordered from them before and they’re really good about shipping shoes out to you, and they’ll keep you posted on the status of your order.
