Wearing a sparkly shoe to work can be a challenge, but it can be done.

First off, if you’re going to wear a shoe that blings, then you need to keep everything else minimalist.  Also, because this shoe is a peep-toe, black tights will help tone it down dramatically.  Here are some sample outfits.

Black wrap dress + black tights + sparkly shoe = dressy day to work outfit.

Black pencil skirt + black tights + sparkly shoe + silk blouse (in grey, purple, or black) = professional with a little glitz

Dark wash denim jean + sparkly shoe + black sweater tunic + long necklace = casual Friday glam

However, whether you can wear these outfits to work depends on your office.  My office (even though it’s on the Hill) is pretty relaxed when it comes to pushing the envelope a little, but if your office if stuffed shirt and straight laced, you might need to reconsider.

My advice, don’t be afraid to try new things.  But if you think that the shoes are too much for your office then give them a test run on casual Friday.
