Since moving to DC three years ago, I have been getting my haircut at Toka Salon in Penn Quarter by Lauren Reznick. I called today to make an appointment only to discover that she has left that salon. No notice, no warning.
This is by far the longest relationship that I have ever had with a hairdresser. And now it’s over. I’ve been dumped by my hairdresser’s secretary. Awe-some.
So, ladies of CHS, I need a hairdresser. Must be in D.C., must be Metro accessible. And since my hair is my one true love, money is no object.
Help.

There’s a nice little barber shop next to Union Pub. They’ll even give you a nice shave.

Not funny. How do you take advantage of me in my time of need in order to provide yourself with cheap laughs!

Sandra at PR at Partners at Mazza Gallerie. She’s great with hair color.

Luna at Luna’s (21st and P in Dupont) is fantabulous. Relatively cheap, too- in the $40 range I believe. I went to her for a year before I moved- always completely satisfied.

Vera at Blondie’s. I am a FREAK about my hair and she is amazing. I have referred many and all have been happy.

Mimi at Salon Roi on Connecticut Ave is incredible. Young, great with color, great to talk to. I highly recommend her. Also, if you are a student they give you 15% off.

I know you posted this forever ago, but I’m bored at work and have been going through the archives. Not sure if you’ve found a new hairdresser or not, but I go to Dennis at Roche Salon. He usually works at the Georgetown location, but he works at the Farragut West salon on Thursdays.
I love him!
