I’m a bit of a junkie for the delights of the Interwebs, so I’m always looking for new websites to indulge my addiction. Over the holiday, I discovered some new websites that were just too good to keep to myself. Enjoy.
Refinery 29 exemplifies the urban style that made New York famous. More of a lifestyle site than a fashion page, Refinery is a hot list of Soho streetcorner chic. It’s a bit too sex, drugs and rock & roll for me, but just because it’s not my personal taste doesn’t mean that it isn’t stylish.
When I moved to the District four years ago it was a completely unstylish fiefdom ruled by women in block heels and tapered pants. But that is beginning to change, a style revolution has begun in the nation’s capital thanks to the dedicated web mistresses and masters who keep the fashion flowing. One of those websites is DC Scout whose monthly calendar and sale notices keep the District’s emerging fashionistas in the know. If you aren’t a subscriber, you should be.
